If you live anywhere where there is social media, magazines or television most of you are probably at least slightly aware of all the craziness and turmoil that has been going in Greece. But just in case you need a little clueing in here is a short overview... 400,000 refugees sought asylum in Greece in 2015, and over 2,000 more arrive on Greek shores every day. These people have been separated from their families and torn away from their homes and the lives they once knew, Most of the refugees are coming from war-torn nations like Syria, Iraq, Afghanistan, Yemen and Somalia. Nations that are on the Open Doors World Watch List, and are “closed” to the Gospel. But now many are in Greece–a completely open access nation. This is a huge opportunity to meet un-reached people groups where they are. I feel very strongly that the call God has placed on my life is to go out and to share the hope of the gospel message with those who have never heard it and bring the love of God to those who have never experienced before. This is my passion and what better way could there be to do that than this? So here comes the news! This December I hoping and praying to go with a team here at YWAM to Greece to work with Syrian refugees. The details of what exactly we will be doing there have not yet been established. But it may include things such as; Helping in practical ways like cleaning, cooking and clothing those who are coming in, as well as helping to re-integrate refugees back into society where they can hopefully lead somewhat normal lives. It is our goal to engage with people in a loving way, serving them on their journey to safety. This is where you come in! For this trip I will need to raise approximately $2000 to cover airfare and ground fees. I would like to invite you to partner with me on this journey to help share the hope and love that Christ has for all his people! I want to ask for your help in 2 ways.
